From the parking lot, there are three trailheads. One overlooks the city, one takes you up Flat Top mountain, and one takes you towards Powerline Pass. Walk 0.5 a mile in towards Powerline Pass and take a right. You’ll visibly spot Little O’Malley right ahead when you step onto Powerline Pass. Another 0.25 mile and you’ll see a trail post to the left directing you towards O’Malley Peak Trail. Follow that trail, and cross the North Fork Campbell Creek bridge and onto the short boardwalk. Another trail post will direct you left to Williwaw Lakes or right to O’Malley Peak. Go right and start your ascent. Once above the tree line, you’ll hike in the chute for the last mile. At the top of the chute, go left for Little O’Malley Peak where you’ll see panoramic views of Anchorage and the inlet. From behind are views of the Chugach Mountains where you can view O’Malley Peak.
